Devotion:5630m.
From time immemorial people have ventured to experience the majestic Mt. Kailash in the remote corner of western Tibet, China. This legendary 22,028 feet mountain is considered as the abode of Gods by pilgrims of four religions- Buddhists, Hindus, Jains and Bons. This landscape is made sacrosanct by the presence of Lake Manasarovar, which remains one of most sacred bodies of water known to mankind.
People from far and near, from different faiths and religions, travel to this “Navel of Earth”, for an out-of-the-world experience. The thin air and the high altitude does not dampen the determination of the pilgrims, who circumambulate the Mt. Kailash for weeks, sometimes for months, with a belief that will cleanse all of their sins.
Dolma Pass, 5630m tests human resilience. With atmospheric Oxygen at about 50% of normal, every step is a challenge.
